A Brief
Friends in Need

In Southern Africa, there is the tiny nation of Swaziland. It is home to a little more than one million proud citizens. These fathers and mothers, the little ones and elders are facing some difficult times. Maybe you have heard about some of these problems before.

- 40% hiv/aids prevalence

- 70% of people in extreme poverty

- 40% facing acute food and water shortages

- By 2010, orphan children will acount for 10% of the population

These are shocking numbers and, to make it worse, these problems compound upon each other.

How can someone work if they don't have seed? How can someone have seed if they don't have money? How can someone make money when they are sick to death? How can someone be healed if the medicine is a two day trek away?

No matter how hard our friends work, it just won't cut it.

Not helping is not an option; we must stand and engage.
